Johnson Lodge  & Winemakers Hut

My partner Simon and I, as well as our bridal party had the pleasure of staying at Johnson Lodge and The Winemakers Hut for our wedding weekend. Both properties absolutely took our breath away and were the perfect backdrops for many of our wedding photos. We loved having all our bridal party together but then also having the luxury of escaping away to the Winemakers Hut as a little retreat. We also loved the thoughtful touches by Mary-Anne and Chris, like the bottled wine from our wedding venue and the hand written note on arrival. Couldn’t recommend them enough. We look forward to staying again in the future to reminisce on our special day.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Johnson Lodge, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful landscapes that offer a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Mary- Anne and Chris were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met throughout our stay. The accommodations was comfortable and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the amenities, everything was thought about! Overall, our stay at Johnson Lodge was relaxing and rejuvenating. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming getaway in a beautiful setting. We can't wait to return!

Mary-Anne and Chris were incredible hosts - we absolutely loved our time at Johnson Lodge! It was the perfect place to get ready for my wedding - with beautiful big bathrooms, spacious living areas and picturesque surroundings for photos. The place was squeaky clean and very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying at Johnson Lodge and we hope to be back one day!

Johnson Lodge was amazing! We booked this for my family to stay for the morning of my wedding, and it was the perfect location. Plenty of room, beautifully presented and the grounds surrounding were amazing. Thank you for having us, we loved it!

Could not recommend Johnson Lodge and the winemaker’s hut more. We stayed here with our bridal party for our wedding and it was beyond incredible, everything was perfect. Chris & Mary-Anne were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Wonderful venue to accommodate yourself. We had a party of 4 couples and couldn’t ask for a better equipped, super clean, well appointed accommodation in a superb setting

The Winemaker’s Hut is perfection. An amazing little spot for a romantic getaway. Mary-Anne and Chris have thought of everything. Highly recommend you visit.

Stunning location

We booked this accommodation for our wedding party to get ready in. Stunning house & location, managed to get amazing photos of our bridal party. Well manicured lawns - great communication from the hosts. We will forever have great memories at this accommodation. There was plenty of room for all of those who were here (makeup artists, hairdresser).

Excellent host

Mary-Anne was an excellent host and the Johnson lodge has everything you will ever need. They have put a lot of thought into the small details for our comfort, Mary-Anne was there to greet us and show us the ropes which was much appreciated. The location is perfect if you plan to visit the wineries as it is in the centre from where you can go to both Barossa and Maclaren Vale.
