As you drive up the long driveway there is a feeling of total relaxation and privacy. The property is surrounded by extensive manicured lawns and garden. Johnson Lodge is a large country house with expansive views of the Adelaide Hills from the front windows and verandah. The property overlooks a large ornamental pond in the middle of the front lawn which attracts an abundance of native birdlife. Kangaroos can be seen languishing in the paddocks and also the occasional koala!

Johnson Lodge has 4 double bedrooms plus 3 bathrooms and is luxuriously furnished and decorated. Spacious living areas include an open fireplace and slow combustion heating (as well as reverse cycle heating and cooling throughout the house). Full kitchen with modern appliances.

The outside entertaining area includes a firepit with surrounding seating to enjoy the cool Adelaide hills evenings.

Wonderful destination located 45 minutes from Adelaide CBD, perfect getaway to experience South Australia’s iconic Adelaide Hills. Just short walks to nearby Shaw and Smith Winery, Nepenthe Wines and The Lane Vineyard or a 10 minute drive to Hahndorf Historic Village and many nearby cafes and restaurants.

The property is perfect for a break away either as a couple or with family and friends. Ideal locations if you are attending a wedding or event nearby, such as Adelaide Hills Crush festivals or attending a performance at “Ukaria” cultural centre.
